Nepal defeated Malaysia by 39 runs

 In the ACC U-16 Eastern Regional Cricket Championship, which has been held in Thailand, Nepal has scored the second consecutive victory. Nepal defeated the Malaysia while grabbing second win in the tournament Today.

Malaysia scored 102 runs in 33 overs with 33 runs in Thailand's Chang Mai following the target of 142 runs set by Nepal. Sharveen Surendran scored 46 runs for Malaysia playing to the fullest with colleague Ahmad Asyraf who scored 17 runs. Kishan Kumar scored 11 runs for Malaysia. Whereas, Ramesh Kurmi, Tilak Raj Bhandari and Prasant Mahat of Nepal took 2/2 wickets. 

Earlier, Nepal winning the toss elected to bat first with 141 runs out of 34 overs. For Nepal, Ashish Bhattarai scored the highest 34 and Bishal Bikram KC scored 28 runs. Similarly, Deepak Bohara and Arjun Kumal scored 16/16 runs while Suwash Ayer made 11 runs. While, for Malaysia, Siddharth Kartik took 4, Hakim Sahar, Sachinu Hettige took 2/2 while Amirul Asraf & Ahmad Akmal Alif took 1/1 wickets. In the group 'A', Nepal has added 4 points from 2 games. And, Nepal have come close to the semi-finals.

Nepal will play the finals against the organiser of Thailand on Thursday. Nepal defeated Singapore by 71 runs in the previous season
